Detroit for me every truck my dad has had its been a detroit and its neva had anytin rong. he had a WHITE road commander wit a 2 stroke detroit that had been runnin for 20 years b4 he had it and it went like brand new. the only thing we dun to it was a service. and it neva had a rebuild

Cat for me too but some of the most reliable motors were made by Rolls Royce and the good old Gardiner motors...(now that's a while ago)...lol. The "still in the works" cummins ain't so bad either...i got to test drive the hush hush motor when they were trialling the new emissions gear and it was pretty good...pulled four loaded trailers without working up a sweat...was good on the juice too..

cat are shit, partly cuz they dont make engines anymore. Cummins for me Ask terry Nolan From Nolan's Transport in Gatton about how good the today's Cummins are. Of all the Cummins he owns....at least 70% had problems in the first year alone. 10 of his new 620's were sent back within the first 3 month with major problems.... 3 didn't even make it from the factory to the dealers. Yeah Cummins are good...... They are really good at mechanical failures....

Haha yer i suppose ur right.. My dad's mate used to work for nowlans (now works for patrick's) and he had a cummins in his K104. My dad's volvo could keep up with it except on hills but nowlans also have a FH 620 i think it is and it out pulls all their kenworths.. If i can remember correctly dutchy drives the volvo..
