duno if your still reading this digit, but i think its alright, except i dont really like the bit with the pallets returned. coz if your bringing containers back the amount of pallets wil be diferent to a van eventhough its still a double, or tankers. just a bit confusing to work it out.

I'm still checking it mate Drivers don't need to worry about the pallets return bit, just copy it straight from your dispatch, its just for the dispatchers and myself to work out

yeh true, for the dispatches that you write its no worries, only when if the drivers are going to write their own dispatch it gets confusing, well for me anyway. and as long as you dont bring in $600 fines and loss of demerit points for infringments who cares haha
And no, real log books arent that bad, its only the penalties that are bad

yeh we are on mass and maintenence. but staying well clear of fatigue. mass and maint have nothing to do with your log book anyway.
i was having a think about this, if people are complaining to digit about log books, i think why not do it like real life (i think the way it is now is alright). we have our dockets/freight notes, and our log books seperate.
on your docket you have
charge to: From: Ausfreighters date: order number: discription: eg b double loaded with timber from old south-fresno single fridge van return from fresno to old south. something alone those lines
and seperate, have your logbook rego: depart: old south 3.30am monday return/arrive: bishop pine 4.00 tues or whatever rest: park bay 7.00 - 10.30
and then again for the return home.
this is just my idea. that way in the forum log books and dispatch can be two different threads, and its easy from mods just to say alright he went from where ever to where ever with what ever trailer and what order number it is without have 15 other lines about what truck and time, because that doesnt really affect how much it we charge the customers. hope everyone understands
oh forgot, just stick a note on the docket for travel expenses (fuel, emergency) or whatever if you have them
