buying a new PC

gday im thinking about buying a new desktop PC. i have been looking on ebay at some, but really i have no idea what to look for. i dont really play too many game, just haulin, ETS and flight sim but my current laptop doesnt run that very good (or haulin for that matter).
so im wondering if anyone can help. im not spending ove $1000 though

thats a good one but if i was you. i would ask them if you could get a Geforce NVIDIA 9800GT video card

ok cool so that would run flight sim x and haulin good. what OS is the best. il like my vista home premium 32 but iv heard that it cant use more that about 2 or 3gb ram, does that matter

well.to be honest i dont know. but seeing how it is a gaming computer i would not think so and with a Geforce NVIDIA 9800GT. you should be able to run haulin and flight sim with no lag.

ok so first off i need to no what is your budget i just got my mate a new computer for $2500 and it had an i7 processor (Intel's Latest and greatest)

Also as for the OS run Windows 7

il say $1000 is my budget. im not into all those new first person shooters and stuff so it doesnt have to too powerful as long as it plays haulin and flight sim x good

Well for $1000 your not going to get a very good computer. The one your showing is fair decent but the motherboard isnt that good..
And the video card is good, The 9600GT is just as good as the 9800GT but you can get better these days like the ATI Radeon HD4870

You can build your own to whatever budget you might have. I have never had a problem with them and have used them for years. They are based in Sydney but deliver Australia wide. If you can't build one yourself then these guys will put it together for you and test it.( Depending on where you live i can do it for you also).

And as Jaiden said...$1000.00 is the bottom of the barrel. (plus i don't trust eBay shops for built items...they go out of business before you can get any warranty...cheap=cheap )

cheers everyone. yeh i understand that $1000 isnt very much for a good PC, i could probly easily blow 3 or 4 gs but where do you draw the line. as long as it does what it needs too. im using a laptop ATM and it barely ran haulin before, and now with the company pack its really struggling. il keep looking around, see what some local shops can put together

from introspec computers in melbourne. she arrived thismorning. cant wait to get it set up tonight.
they had to replace the power supply coz they were having a few problems when they tested it, so while they were doing that they upgraded the memory to 1600MHz modules and gave me a free upgrade option to windows 7 too so stoked.
i ended up taking your advice and spending a bit more money to make sure i got a good quality one, so cheers
